I am a sucker for seafood. Raw, steamed, roasted, you name it – I love it! That’s why my favorite seafood restaurant in NYC is definitely Lure Fishbar, located downtown in the heart of Soho. If you have dined here before, then you’re already in the know, and if you haven’t, then I’m about to show you what you’ve been missing!
Decor
On the corner of Mercer and Prince, a stairway will lead you to this basement level eatery. Once inside, you are transported to the interior of a classic sea vessel. Complete with port holes, glamorous wood floors and panels, Lure’s stylish yacht decor exudes all things seafood. Whether you dine at the bar, sushi bar or in the main dining room, you’re sure to have a delicious experience.
Menu
Great seafood can be plated in many forms, a lavish raw bar, sushi that melts in your mouth, or simply a perfectly cooked piece of fish. The reason I love Lure is because they have it all, and it is done right! My husband, a Japanese food lover, was pleasantly surprised with how tasty their sushi was. This chic restaurant is not pretentious or stuffy, its a permanent hot spot and the epitome of New York Dining.
Whatever you are in the mood for, Lure’s menu has something for everyone. I’ve dined here for brunch, lunch & dinner – additionally, their happy hour which features bar snacks, sushi specials and discounted cocktails is not to be missed! Even if you aren’t the biggest seafood fan, Lure Fishbar serves the awarding winning “Bash Style” Burger served with bacon & onion jam, as well as a selection of prime steaks.
Some of my favorite dishes are seen below including:
Highlights
Lure Fishbar has an amazing team in the kitchen overseeing and preparing all these mouthwatering dishes. The partner and executive chef Josh Capon (pictured center) along with chef Preston Clark and executive pastry chef Alon Langleib work to make your dining experience more than enjoyable.
Since the holidays are right around the corner, if you are looking for a venue for your seasonal celebration, Lure has a private event space or just ball out and rent the whole restaurant for the night!
Special occasion, girls night’s out, or just any given evening, I highly recommend making a reservation at Lure, your tastebuds will thank you!
Have you dined at Lure Fish Bar? Be sure to share this post with all your seafood loving friends!
