I found these unique pieces, which compliment each other so well, on my last shopping excursion. The Romy & Ray pullover wool poncho ($130) is from the pop up shop, Creeds Collective, a store that showcases amazing designers and brands which also donates 10% of its sales to support the Global Citizen charity efforts toward ending poverty. The bag ($110) is from a UK brand called Whistles, and is sold exclusively at Bloomingdales.
I recently visited my hometown of Detroit to help my mother prepare for her move to West Palm Beach, FL. I planned a lovely cocktail party so her friends could send her off in style. I put together this silk and denim outfit for the party, and it was the perfect look for a casual soiree at the local hot spot. I am a true lover of denim; I think I have 17 pairs, yikes; most of them I don't wear on a regular basis but are still a necessary part of my wardrobe. I bought this Elie Tahari blouse a few years ago and love to bring it out for special occasions. The jeans and necklace were a part of my Casual Chic post, and they kind of have become a staple in my wardrobe.
