Black and Blue

atkinson_rankins_aug15_1of4_4941_fullcropThere is something about a shirt with open back detail that I can't seem to resist. I found my Wilfred t-shirt at Aritzia, the sophisticated yet fashionable boutique that is quickly becoming my new favorite store. I am also wearing some midrise classic black skinny jeans by The Castings, which I also bought there. I am wearing my favorite cut out booties, which are a fantastic way to transition your summer wardrobe to fall. You can catch me in a hip casual look like this on any given weekend. My Jamie Joseph accessories, from Greenwich Jewelersadd just the right amount of whimsy to complete my look.

Electric Romper

_MG_3408-EditMix up your Friday night style by swapping your LBD for a chic Romper instead. Add even more style to your look by wearing it in an eye catching color. This long sleeve electric blue Karina Grimaldi romper is perfect for a summer night out. This lace trimmed one piece shows plenty of leg and looks stunning with its gold accents. I decided to add some geometric gold jewelry by Gorjana and some over-sized Alexis Bittar earrings from Greenwich Jewelers to make this outfit pop even more! A black clutch and heels match the lace trim on the romper to complete my electric look!

City Safari In Central Park

City Safari

City SafariOnly in NYC could I coin the look,"high fashion safari"! Central Park seemed like the perfect spot to shoot this animalistic inspired outfit. I am wearing one of my favorites tops which looks nice and simple from the front but leaves little to the imagination from behind. I bought this Religion brand shirt at Century 21 (deeply discounted), but had never had any of their pieces before. The top goes perfectly with my asymmetrical BCBG skirt, which shows a "bit" of leg too. And of course I am wearing my favorite Vince sandals featured in my 5 Fashion Favs video. This look would not be complete without my multi-wrap bracelets and pave diamond ring from Greenwich Jewelers, which adds some tribal flair.

Hot Pink DVF

Hot Pink

Hot Pink DVF and B AtwoodI have been wearing a lot of DVF this summer. Honestly I can't help it because this season's collection has had so many great pieces, like the Sidra Cutout Dress I have on (sold out, similar looks below). I wanted to have some fun with this little number, so I made this outfit be all about bright colors. I am wearing these hot two toned Brian Atwood stilettos that I have had for a couple of years now that I found on sale at Saks. My colorful jewelry from Greenwich Jewelers is hard to miss, especially my statement Jamie Joseph ring. I don't like being to matchy matchy, so I am carrying my bright yellow clutch to add a contrasting color.

Fashion Post on www.modernwomanagenda.com featuring this Greylin sundress

A Walk in the Park

Fashion Post on www.modernwomanagenda.com featuring this Greylin sundressFinding cute, well-made, throw on dresses is always one of my top priorities when it's time to update my summer wardrobe. It gets so hot and humid during the New York summer, so you want to stay cool while still looking chic. This Greylin Osten Sleeveless Sundress with an open back panel is casual enough to wear running errands around town, but also fashionable enough for brunch or an afternoon out. When trying to beat the heat while on the go, I hate wearing a lot of heavy jewelry because I feel like it weighs me down. So I kept it simple with my accessories, including this Jamie Joseph necklace from Greenwich Jewelers. Whether you are wearing wedges or flats with this outfit, I recommend keeping your footwear a neutral color to maintain this minimalist look.

Black and White Reversal – Jia Collection

Jia Collection Erika Reversible Dress Finding clothing that is versatile, comfortable, and stylish is rare, that is why this fashion post has me so excited! Jia Li, founder of Jia Collection, has designed an unique line of reversible pieces that can be worn both front to back AND inside out, to show 4 different looks with just one piece. I traveled to Florida with this Erika dress and found it had the added benefit of being wrinkle free too. Jia Collection is the perfect solution for the busy mom, traveler or any woman looking to easily create different outfits without buying several pieces. I styled this look with my Via Spiga sandals and my favorite vintage clutch.

Abstract Anorak

Catherine Malandrino Anorak Jacket with a Badgley Mischka Handbag The weather this season has been so temperamental, one day it's hot and then the next it feels like fall again. That is why I love this Catherine Malandrino Anorak Jacket (similar to a parka, an anorak is a jacket with a hood). With this chic layering piece, I am prepared for any weather that spring throws at me while still looking very much in season. This bold pattern only needs simple neutrals and coordinating colors to set it off. My white jeans go perfectly with my matching beige wedges and handbag. The rings from Greenwich Jewelers pick up the blue and white from my jacket and really pop on my hand.

Brushstroked Blue

Brushstroked BlueI have really been loving the prints this spring. Since I don't usually go for the traditional floral motiffs, this abstract brushstroke blue inspired Vince Camuto skirt is perfect for me. I paired this with a simple black Elie Tahari blazer from one of my suits to create a look that works for the office or a ladies luncheon (yes I said luncheon). My Oryany handbag, from Neiman Marcus adds a fun pop of purple to compliment the blue. My crystal locket from Greenwich Jewelers makes the look more contemporary and the Jamie Joseph clear statement ring ties everything together.

Spring Kaleidoscope

1 State Paint Brush Blazer with Joie Coated DenimSpring is here in full force, so why not have a bit of fun with some colors that are not typical for spring. When I realized that these Joie Coated Denim pants were actually olive and not black, I knew I had to have them! My paintbrush print inspired blazer reminded me of what feels like looking thru a kaleidoscope. The blues, oranges, yellows, and greens work together to create this beautiful print. I am wearing white and blue geometric shaped jewelry from Greenwich Jewelers. With so much color, I kept my bag and shoes neutral.
