It’s cold and snowy outside, but for every bride that has ever dreamed of a white wedding, now is the perfect time! If a winter wedding isn’t for the bride and groom, so you may be traveling to a warmer climate to hear the couple say “I Do”. No matter the time of the year, figuring out what to wear to a wedding isn’t always easy. But to be the best dressed guest, you have to be chic from head to toe. Turn “almost” as many heads as the bride with my stylish tips.
Destination or Beach
A destination wedding may be a vacation for you, but don’t think for a second that you can show up to a wedding in your beachwear. Tropical weddings can be very stylish and chic, so keep that in mind when selecting an outfit. You can’t go wrong with a Maxi dress or something flowy. Most importantly… No Stilletoes!

Semi-Formal
Don’t pull out the sequins and ball gowns just yet, sticking to a cocktail dress is the way to go. If it is cold outside, you may want to consider wearing something with sleeves to provide some warmth. Always stick to what fits your style, but stay away from anything too short, (you are going to a wedding, not the club).

Formal Or Black Tie
This is the occasion to wear that long evening gown you look so fabulous in. With a black tie or formal wedding, long or short are both acceptable. For winter, think of a heavier fabric or dramatic print for your dress. Find a style that works well with your body and if you get cold, a shawl is always an option.

Accessories
If you want to be the best dressed guest, don’t drop the ball when it comes to your accessories. I love the idea of renting these pieces to save money. A chic clutch is the perfect bag to carry at any wedding. Select something small and dainty that can still fit your phone, lipstick and few other key essentials. When it comes to jewelry, make sure it all ties into your look. You may need to choose between either a necklace or earnings if you are wearing statement pieces.
Hair & Make Up
When you are a wedding guest, the last thing you want to do is out shine the bride. With a winter wedding I love these two options for makeup, a bold wine colored lip or a pretty smokey eye. Both are great options, but I wouldn’t recommend wearing them together. For hair, I suggest keeping it down, so as not to be mistaken for the wedding party.
