Your morning makeup doesn’t have to be a hassle. I have found the perfect morning makeup routine to get me out the door in about five minutes and still look amazing. Check out the video above for details, and shop my favorite products below.
How to Do a Five-Minute Face
Step 1: Foundation
My favorite foundation, hands down, is Dermablend Flawless Creator. I discovered this product last year shortly after its launch, and I haven’t used my other foundations since. It is medium to full coverage, which is perfect for a flawless daytime look.
Step 2: Contour
Don’t be intimidated by this step! Contouring your face will give your cheekbones more dimension and help your makeup look more natural. A simple line right under the cheekbone in a color one to two shades darker than your foundation will do the trick.
Step 3: Set it
To keep your makeup in place for the day, you have to set it. Setting powder is a crucial step in eliminating shine and creating a smudge-proof look.
Step 4: Brows
Don’t neglect your brows, even in the morning! It only takes a few seconds to fill them in and create a nice shape. If you need some inspiration on where to start, check out my brow video on IGTV here.
Step 5: Eyes
Don’t bother with dramatic eyeshadow for your morning look, but at the very least add liner and mascara to your eyes. I always try to opt for a neutral shadow in two or three shades. I blend well, and then line the top of my eye before adding mascara.
Step 6: Blush
A little color on your cheeks can go a long way in making your face look complete. I generally stick to the three shades in this palette when applying my blush in the morning.
Step 7: Lips
Bold lips are a great way to complete your morning makeup routine and finish off your look. If you only do one thing in the morning, put on lip color before you leave.
