Spring is in full effect, and now is just as good a time as any to update your look and refresh your style. Simple, chic changes can make a world of difference, and some new spring style changes will help you update that WFH look.
You may be surprised that my refresh originated from a trip to Dollar General. Yes, while shopping for essentials, I picked up a box of Schwarzkopf® Keratin Color for step one of my style update. Check out my new color and see how you can change up your look to revitalize your spring style too!
Change Your Hair Color
After a long winter, fresh new hair color is a great way to embrace the new season with open arms. Some insist on a lighter shade for spring, but I actually opted to go darker with a trendy hue of purple. I recently tried a box of Schwarzkopf Keratin Color in a cool Rich Caviar shade. The product boasts 100% gray coverage and up to 80% less hair breakage—that’s all I needed to read to be convinced! I applied my color, which went on evenly from root to tip. Everyone says my new color looks so fresh, and I love that the subtle shade of purple pops in the sun.
Wear a Trend Color
Florals are always an option for spring, but when it comes to fashion, I like the idea of dressing head to toe in a solid color. To incorporate this monochromatic trend, consider a suiting option of lilac or light blue. This spring, I’m all about yellow in this statement dress with sleeve details. This color beautifully complements brown skin tones, and it will help make my Keratin Color Rich Caviar pop.
Negative Nail Space
Nail art is a chic way to mix up your spring style. If you watch my IG stories, then you know I’m a huge fan of doing my nails at home. Negative space is an easy way to incorporate designs into your manicure. The concept centers on the idea of leaving unpolished space on your nails to create a design. To try it at home, start by updating your French manicure and polishing half of your nail instead of the tip.
Just like the beautiful flowers that start to bloom, springtime makeup shades are a melange of light and lovely colors. To make your makeup pop this spring, accent those lighter lip colors and soft blush tones with a trendy white liner. This look is easy to achieve and can be worn with any color.
The sun is out, so it’s time to protect those eyes. A pair of fun sunglasses is the perfect inexpensive accessory this spring. Don’t get me wrong; there’s nothing wrong with investing in expensive sunglasses that you bring out each season. However, for an extra style element, I also like to add a trendy pair to the mix. A fun shape, color, or combination of both can bring your new spring style to life.
You don’t have to buy a whole new wardrobe to update your look this spring. While you are out shopping for basics, stroll down the beauty aisle of your local Dollar General and look for inexpensive ways to refresh your spring style.
