It’s June, my favorite month of the year! The weather is perfect, fresh produce has never looked better, and it’s my Birthday month. There are a lot of ways to enjoy this glorious month, and I like to unwind at Vintry, my favorite New York City cocktail bar. For the month of June, Vintry is featuring a summertime favorite – Rosé. They have designed a delicious cocktail, the Rosé Cobbler (recipe below) and have paired it with a couple of dishes from their tasty small plates menu. Vintry – located on Stone St. in the heart of the Financial District, will be donating $1 from each Rosé Cobbler to my favorite charity, the Alzheimer’s Association.
I have been a regular at this intimate whiskey and wine bar since it opened six years ago. Vintry offers eighty wines by the taste, glass, or bottle, with an additional 500 bottle list. Scottish, American, Japanese, Canadian and Irish Whiskies make up Vintry’s excellent selection of spirits. With original handcrafted cocktails and small seasonal plates, this bar became one of my instant favorites.
For summer, Vintry always has cocktails to quench your thirst from the New York heat. This refreshing Rosé cocktail pairs well with seafood, salad, and light pasta dishes. I had two of dishes from their lunch menu, the octopus salad with celery hearts and Nicoise olives & the watermelon salad with arugula, Greek feta, and aged balsamic. Stop by this month to dine outside and enjoy a Rosé Cobbler, an aged whiskey, or any of their smooth, sparkling or fruity drinks and tell them I sent you!
