Hanger Steak with Chimichurri
Hanger Steak with Chimichurri Sauce
Hanger Steak with ChimichurriMy husband's favorite cut of meat is by far hanger steak. Known for its flavor and flank steak like texture, this less known cut of meat is sometimes referred to as  a "butcher's cut", since this prized steak was said to be too good to share with their customers. This steak is best prepared with a marinate or dry rub and can hold up many different seasonings and spices. Hanger Steak can be hard to find at major grocery stores, but your local butcher will most likely carry this juicy cut. For this recipe, I simply grilled it and served  my Hanger Steak with Chimichurri sauce.

Garlic & Herb Roasted Chicken Drumsticks
chicken Chicken is a go to protein in my house. It is an inexpensive and versatile meat with endless ways to prepare it. I tend to lean to Asian flavors, which are a favorite in our house like with my Soy marinated chicken, but these drumsticks are simply a crowd pleaser and make for a effortless meal. This recipe is ridiculously easy and makes your chicken amazingly juicy and flavorful. My garlic and herb chicken roasted drumsticks take less than 10 mins of prep time and about 40 mins to cook.

Pan Seared Salmon with Lemon, Dill & Capers
Salmon with Lemon, Capers and Dill One thing I have learned from my husband is the best salmon comes from Alaska. He has told me numerous stories about his days as a commercial salmon fisherman and his dip netting experiences back in Anchorage. Getting fresh Alaskan Salmon in the lower 48 does come at cost, but I think it is worth it. I found this beautiful piece of fish at Whole Foods and I was very excited to pair it with some fresh dill, lemon and capers.
